Is my location suitable for a balcony power station?
A sunny location is crucial. Optimal conditions are a south-facing orientation, a 30-35° angle of inclination and a balcony, terrace, garden or façade with little shade. The system is also worthwhile when facing east or west, although the yield is slightly reduced.
As a tenant, can I install a balcony power station?
Yes, in principle you can, but you often need the consent of the landlord or property management for structural changes (e.g. drilling on the façade). However, we also have some models in our range that are free-standing or can be clamped to the railing. These do not require approval.
How is a balcony power station connected?
It's simple: you plug the balcony power station into a normal socket (T13) or a Wieland plug. How much electricity does such a system produce? Depending on location and weather, balcony power plants can generate between 200 and 600 kWH of electricity per year. This covers between 5-15% of the annual consumption of an average household with 2 people.
Do I have to register a balcony power station?
