The EcoMate is based on the LightMate and is supplied without mounting accessories. It is therefore the ideal solution for skilful ‘do-it-yourself’ enthusiasts.

With the EcoMate, it is possible to switch from a licence-free balcony solar system to a classic PV system.

This has the advantage that you can start using your balcony power plant immediately, while the necessary formalities such as planning permission, safety certificates and registrations with Pronovo and the energy supplier are completed in parallel.

• Does the LightMate fulfil the relevant Swiss regulations? Yes, of course! Unlike other balcony power station sellers, EET, as the developer and manufacturer of the LightMate and SolMate systems, confirms compliance with the relevant EU standards and regulations in its declarations of conformity.

• Are subsidies available for the purchase of a LightMate? Subsidies for balcony power plants (mini PV systems) are granted individually and by some municipalities. It is best to enquire at your local authority, perhaps there is already something suitable!

• Do I need an electrician for the installation? No! The LightMate can be installed by anyone within 30-40 minutes. Simply mount it, plug it in and reduce your electricity costs.

• How long is the cable for the mains connection? The cable has a length of 5 metres. You can extend it as much as you like with an extension cable suitable for outdoor use. It is important that the plug connection is protected against splash water, e.g. with a Dribox. Both are available from DIY stores.

• What maintenance costs are incurred? There are no additional costs during operation. The device is therefore maintenance-free.

• How long is my guarantee? The solar panels (rigid modules) have a performance guarantee of 25 years. However, even if the components have reached the end of their service life, they are far from broken. End of life means that the panels still have 80% of their original output. The inverter and battery components have a product guarantee of 10 years.
