The smart WiFi socket that switches connected devices on and off, automatically saves electricity and protects your home. It was designed in Switzerland for Swiss sockets. Measure your electricity consumption and costs and let the myStrom WiFi Switch switch devices on or off automatically: Operated via the MyStrom app with your smartphone, tablet or Apple Watch from anywhere or using the WiFi button or voice control.

The Swisscom-certified MyStrom WLAN Energy Control Switch makes it easy to manage energy in your home. It uses your home's existing WiFi network and allows you to control your TV, lights, stereo system, fan and much more. myStrom Switch consumes less than 1 W - but switches devices with up to 2300 W.

myStrom app

Together with the free myStrom app, you can exploit the full potential of the myStrom Switch. You can use the app to switch all devices connected to the switch on or off. The app also records consumption data and provides access to the devices - from anywhere. Thanks to the storable tariff plan with high and low tariffs, you get an overview of your electricity costs. You can also create a daily and weekly switching schedule. Or you can simply activate the presence simulation while you are on vacation. A timer function is also available. You can be notified when the switch is switched on or off or when a defined consumption value is exceeded or not reached. With the energy-saving function, you can automatically switch switched-on devices off again after a certain period of time or switch a device off completely as soon as it goes into standard mode.

Possible applications

Alarm system: A floodlight with integrated motion detector switches the light on when movement is detected. The switch then detects increased power consumption and notifies you immediately. Aquarium pump: The aquarium pump is faulty. The switch detects that the power consumption is gone and notifies you immediately. Presence simulation: The switch switches the lighting on and off according to a program or randomly. Your house looks occupied while you are away. Control: The Switch monitors your children's games console or TV. Conclusion via app. Temperature control: Set an on/off temperature and control your radiant heater or air conditioning automatically.

API

The myStrom WLAN Energy Control Switch offers a REST API (REST = representational state transfer). The interface allows you to access the switch directly via the local network / WLAN, switch it on and off and read out the measured power values. It is not necessary to register the switch with the MyStrom Cloud. This means that the switch can be integrated into almost any IT environment. Connect with WLAN

Connect your myStrom Switch to your WLAN using WPS or manually. WPS (WLAN Protected Setup) is the simplest and recommended method for connecting the switch to the WLAN. Prerequisite - the Internet modem supports WPS. Configuration via the integrated WEB interface is also possible - for professionals.

IFTTT

MyStrom supports IFTTT. Finally you can automate across all products! The commands ON | OFF | TOGGLE are supported.

Energy measurement

The myStrom Switch makes it easy to measure energy. You can set in the app whether the measurement should be for energy consumption or energy feed-in to the grid.

With an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant-compatible smart speaker, your myStrom Smart Home listens to your every word. Control one device or entire rooms. Furthermore, the devices in a room can be organized and controlled in groups or scenes.
