The access point connects the HomeMatic IP system to the smartphone. It is connected to the router via a network cable. Configuration data and control commands are transmitted from the smartphone to the "HomeMatic IP" devices via the access point. Data is secured by AES encryption and sent reliably via an 868 MHz IP radio protocol. Operating status is indicated by a blue, yellow or red LED.
Modular system, simple installation
The "HomeMatic IP" heating controller networks sensors, actuators and a modern computer control system to form an intelligent heating control system that operates extremely efficiently, saving you money. System parameters can be monitored and adjusted at any time by manual control elements in the home, as well as by computer or smartphone - with Internet access, even when you're not at home.
The "HomeMatic IP" architecture
The "HomeMatic IP" system consists of several components that detect temperatures in different rooms, recognize open windows and doors, and intelligently regulate heating valves accordingly. The components, which are easy to install, are all wirelessly linked - so there's no need to lay cables.
Easily upgradeable
All "HomeMatic IP" devices can also be used with the HomeMatic CCU2 control unit. This means your HomeMatic IP system can grow with your needs. However, it is not possible to operate normal HomeMatic components with the "HomeMatic IP" control unit.
Measurement data acquisition and visualization
With Homematic IP and the Homematic IP access point in combination with the Homematic IP App, you can record and log up to 20 sensor measurement values. Recorded measurement values can be viewed directly in the Homematic IP App as a diagram, or exported as a CSV file for further processing. Measured values remain stored for one year in the Homematic IP Could.
Home automation made easy with Homematic IP
Homematic IP offers a practical solution for almost every situation in the home: the Home Control system makes everyday life easier and takes care of recurring operations around the house, such as raising the blinds, closing the shutters or opening the garage door. Control everything conveniently from the control unit, by remote control, PC software or smartphone, and combine different applications.
Expandable at any time, always reliable
The Homematic system can be flexibly expanded at any time. You can build your system piece by piece, and add to it according to your own ideas. As the components communicate with each other by radio, there's no need to lay cables. The use of state-of-the-art radio technology gives you almost 100% availability of functions.
